The Higbee Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 42 points or more this season. They breezed by Norborne on the road to the tune of 71-23. Given Higbee's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Norborne is ranked 492nd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Norborne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zach Deitch, who scored six points along with six steals.
The victory (which was Higbee's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. As for Norborne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Higbee will be home for the holidays to greet Hale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norborne, they will head out on the road to face off against Chilhowee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chilhowee is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
