Monsignor McClancy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
While Monsignor McClancy couldn't quite beat Holy Cross on Wednesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 29-point loss they were dealt back in December of 2023. Monsignor McClancy fell just short of Holy Cross by a score of 59-56. While losing is never fun, Monsignor McClancy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Holy Cross is ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Conwell-Egan Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 55-41 fall against Lansdale Catholic.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brooke Mcfadden, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lily Milewski, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Monsignor McClancy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
