Declan Jack turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three hits surrendered on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Cary Academy: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 2-8 otherwise.
