Softball Recap: Bishop Foley Drops Highest Score of Season Against Cabrini

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Foley). They never let the Cabrini Monarchs get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Thursday. The Ventures have beaten the Monarchs the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Monarchs has come to flipping the script.

Emma Behnke was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Behnke was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Abbey Jones was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Leah Rovner, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.

Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .839. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bishop Foley's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Cabrini, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Looking ahead, Bishop Foley will challenge Lamphere at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cabrini, they are taking a road trip to challenge Clarenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
