The third road game was the charm for The Clewiston Tigers, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 27-13 victory over Inlet Grove on Thursday.
Clewiston found their leader in underclassman Amos Bradford, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Jermarian Pope got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Clewiston's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. Leading the way was Prince "kd" james and his four sacks.
Clewiston's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Inlet Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clewiston will square off against Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Avon Park comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Inlet Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The timing is sure in King's Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Inlet Grove has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
