The Poyen Indians will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Bismarck Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to 56 points the game before, Poyen were a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They fell 35-23 to Centerpoint. That's two games in a row now that Poyen has lost by exactly 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bismarck's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fouke. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bismarck in their matchups with Fouke: they've now lost four in a row.
Poyen has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Bismarck, they bumped their record down to 5-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Poyen strolled past Bismarck when the teams last played back in November by a score of 64-46. Will Poyen repeat their success, or does Bismarck have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
