The Opp Bobcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against McKenzie by a score of 36-29 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Opp, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Opp got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samaria Womack out in front who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was TaKyra Crittenden, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Opp's victory bumped their record up to 3-18. As for McKenzie, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Opp will challenge Brantley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. McKenzie won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pleasant Home at 5:45 p.m. on January 26th. Pleasant Home is on a three-game streak of home losses, McKenzie an 11-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
