After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Our Lady of the Sun Academy, the Estrella Sidewinders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They slipped by Brighton Charter 38-37.
Brighton Charter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyler Potter, who scored ten points. Jaziel Nunez was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Estrella's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Brighton Charter, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6.
Estrella will head out on the road to face off against American Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brighton Charter, they will be playing at home against Sonoran Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sonoran Science Academy is ranked 261st, while Brighton Charter is ranked 264th).
