After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. John Lutheran, the First Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 26-22 W over Legacy Charter. For First Academy, this counts as revenge for the 49-17 loss Legacy Charter walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
First Academy was led to victory by Ashlyn Neiford and Molly Beliveau. Neiford scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Beliveau scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Beliveau is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
The victory got First Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Legacy Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
First Academy will be playing at home against Seven Rivers Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seven Rivers Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than First Academy in Florida (Seven Rivers Christian is ranked 218th, while First Academy is ranked 521st). As for Legacy Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
