Volleyball Recap: Western Wayne Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Western Wayne entered their tilt with Hazleton Area on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Vincent Silon paced Western Wayne's offense, picking up five kills. Silon got some help from Theo Black and his 11 assists. Logan Pauler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Western Wayne's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Hazleton Area, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Western Wayne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Pocono Mountain East on the 12th. As for Hazleton Area, they will head out to challenge Hanover Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
