Knox Central scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Martin County Cardinals. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Knox Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Martin County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Knox Central will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hazard at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Martin County, they will face off against Shelby Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
