The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 79-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bountiful. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (62), Judge Memorial Catholic still had to take the loss.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jj Apathjang, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Apathjang's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaydan Saucedo, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Judge Memorial Catholic has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Bountiful, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Judge Memorial Catholic will take on Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Summit Academy is ranked 100th, while Judge Memorial Catholic is ranked 85th). As for Bountiful, they will be playing at home against Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
