Volleyball Recap: Desert Takes a Loss

Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars. If the Scorpions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Desert was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-22.

Pai'Ea Koko paced Desert's offense, picking up 11 kills. Koko got some help from Benny Baladez and his eight assists. Finally, Ayden Nguyen kept Desert's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Desert will be playing at home against Trinity Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, they will head out on the road to face off against Gorman Learning Charter - Antelope Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmdale Academy Charter School is facing Gorman Learning Charter - Antelope Valley at the right time seeing as Gorman Learning Charter - Antelope Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
