It was a good run, but the Ridgedale Rockets unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison Christian.
Madison Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kiley Wray, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Wray is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Lexi Wray was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Ridgedale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Madison Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgedale will face off against Cory-Rawson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cory-Rawson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Madison Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Delaware Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Delaware Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Madison Christian has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
