Softball Recap: Laker Triumphs

While Laker's win against Brown City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lakers skirted past the Green Devils 11-9. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Green Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ellie Farnum and Braylynn Witt did most of the damage at the plate: Farnum went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Witt went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Addie Lange, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Laker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Brown City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laker will host Unionville-Sebewaing at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brown City, they will welcome Ubly at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
