They took down Carpinteria 31-14. Fillmore's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Leading Fillmore to victory were David Jimenez and Josiah Cruz. Jimenez threw for 103 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Cruz rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Fillmore's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Carpinteria, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore will take on Hueneme at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
