Cary came out on top against Green Level on Wednesday thanks in part to James Oates's efforts. Oates did his part (and then some), not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched for the 'W'. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cary is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Oates and Cary will challenge Middle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cary will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 240 places lower in North Carolina), but they're not letting that get them down.
