Central of Clay County extended their winning streak  to seven  on Friday, bumping them up to 8-1. Everything went their way against the Beauregard Hornets as they made off with  a  46-21 victory. Considering the Volunteers have won five games by more than 22  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
As for Beauregard, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the  defeat, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Central of Clay County is ranked 38th).
 Despite the loss, Beauregard still got an impressive performance from   Tae Foreman, who rushed for 135 yards and one  TD.
 Looking ahead, Central of Clay County will challenge Pell City at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Beauregard, they will face off against Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
