Block is 2-8 against Ferriday since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Block Bears will be home for the holidays to greet the Ferriday Trojans at 6:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Block was the victim of a tough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Madison. While losing is never fun, Block can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Madison is ranked 65th).
Meanwhile, Ferriday strolled past Homer with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 50-36.
Block has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Ferriday, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Block beat Ferriday 59-51 in their previous meeting back in November. Will Block repeat their success, or does Ferriday have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
