Mansfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Minden Crimson Tide by a score of 46-38 on Friday. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 34-33 victory the Crimson Tide walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Mansfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrell Pegues out in front who rushed for 186 yards and one TD, and also picked up 69 receiving yards and one score.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch Jaydan Hamilton also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Several Crimson Tide players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caylien Aubrey, who rushed for 84 yards and one score. Jaden Johnson was another key player, gaining 112 total yards.

Mansfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-22 victory against Green Oaks on the 11th. As for Minden, they have also already played their next match, a 28-0 win against Homer on the 12th.
