Basketball Recap: Cade Culpepper Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Stringer

Clarkdale won the last time they faced Stringer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Clarkdale Bulldogs secured a 55-51 W over the Stringer Red Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cade Culpepper, who posted 12 points along with six boards and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Culpepper a new career-high in blocks (three). Connor Mcdill was another key player, putting up 18 points along with six boards and four steals.

Culpepper wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Clarkdale was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Clarkdale is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Stringer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Clarkdale will venture away from home to face off against Noxapater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarkdale is facing Noxapater at the right time seeing as Noxapater is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Stringer, they will host Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
