Gunnar Gibson and Daniel Collins provided fans with a highlight when they connected against First Baptist School. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) this season.
The Hurricanes lost to Coastal HomeSchool 52-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Noah Butler was a bright spot for First Baptist School, as he ran for 106 yards and caught 1 pass for 23 yards in the defeat.
Collins was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hurricanes defeated Will McCombs' team. Collins tallied 3 receptions for 127 yards.
Coastal HomeSchool's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hurricanes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gibson has thrown for 635 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Collins has 11 catches for 319 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Coastal HomeSchool and Fountain Inn Christian. Gene Gibson's team enters the contest ranked sixth in the state, while Fountain Inn Christian ranks 12th.
Fountain Inn Christian led Lowcountry-Piedmont (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 54 points on Oak Level Baptist Academy.
