The Hobart Brickies had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 43-35 win over Lowell. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hobart also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Aidan Leonard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Mamushe, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Viehman, who scored ten points. Viehman set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Braydon Cox was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hobart now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lowell, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Hobart will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wheeler at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Lowell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on La Porte at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th.
