Dr. Joaquin Garcia found their leader in underclassman Lauren Vance, who scored 18 points. Vance continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aleesia Phillips, who scored ten points.
Lake Worth lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alexandra Reiman, who scored three points along with three steals. Reiman is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Milan Smith was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Lake Worth, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia will be playing in front of their home fans against Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
