It's about time: Tekamah-Herman finally caught a break after 3 consecutive losses. They steamrollered Conestoga 44-8. Tekamah-Herman were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Tekamah-Herman got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Conestoga and cruised to a 36-point first half. Meanwhile, Conestoga couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 36-0 heading into the break. The Tekamah-Herman defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win bumped their record up to 1-3. Conestoga are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Next week Tekamah-Herman take on Oakland-Craig at 7:00 PM. Conestoga will be staying on the road, facing off against Johnson County Central. Conestoga come in off of four low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
