The Canyon Comanches's road trip will continue as they head out to face the St. Paul Swordsmen on December 27th. Hopefully Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday.
Last Saturday, Canyon lost to Etiwanda on the road by a decisive 65-49 margin. While losing is never fun, Canyon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Etiwanda is ranked seventh).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaden Goodall, who scored 20 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Goodall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Canyon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, St. Paul earned a 51-44 win over Mountain View on Thursday.
Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for St. Paul, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
