Our Lady of the Elms has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Horizon Science Academy Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Our Lady of the Elms focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Our Lady of the Elms took their match at home with ease, bagging a 58-21 win over Lake Ridge Academy.
Our Lady of the Elms' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pilar Hampton, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hampton has scored at least 25% of Our Lady of the Elms' points. Palmer Hampton was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Horizon Science Academy took a serious blow against Holy Name on Wednesday, falling 65-12. While losing is never fun, Horizon Science Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Holy Name is ranked 215th).
The losses dropped Our Lady of the Elms to 1-2 and Lake Ridge Academy to 0-4.
