On Thursday, North Allegheny faced Pine-Richland in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The North Allegheny Tigers fell just short of the Pine-Richland Rams by a score of  9-8.  At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Peyton Ford, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anthony Mengine, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 North Allegheny's defeat was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Pine-Richland, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record  this season.
