The Highland Scots suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Centennial at home and fell 74-28. It was the first time this season that Highland let down their fans at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centennial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Godwill Fomusoh, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Fomusoh has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Rippen Gill was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight steals.
Highland's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-3. As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Highland will head out on the road to square off against Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Centennial, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. Liberty will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Centennial is ranked 126th).
