The West Jordan Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Taylorsville Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
West Jordan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Hunter get on the board and left with a 23-0 victory last Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Bryn Gibson looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dannon Hall was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake DiFrancesco, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
West Jordan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunter only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, Taylorsville's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They put the hurt on Hunter with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Cole Kramer made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Kramer was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Brex Romney was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Holden Cottle was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
West Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Taylorsville, their record is now 3-7.
Both West Jordan and Taylorsville just can't seem to miss. The Jaguars have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Taylorsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Jordan might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Taylorsville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
