If the Auburn Adventist Falcons were riding high off their 75-31 takedown of the Rainier Christian Mustangs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Auburn Adventist was outmatched by Cascade Christian on the road and fell 85-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Auburn Adventist has scored all season.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Russell, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Russell is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. John-Andrew Dubreuil was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Auburn Adventist's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Cascade Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn Adventist will take on Puget Sound Adventist at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Puget Sound Adventist will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Auburn Adventist is ranked 181st). As for Cascade Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bellevue Christian at 7:00 p.m.
