The Wewoka Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Okemah Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wewoka is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Wewoka pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holdenville. Wewoka has not had much luck with Holdenville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Okemah came up short against Oktaha on Tuesday and fell 62-51.
Wewoka's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Okemah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Wewoka couldn't quite finish off Okemah when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 41-39. Can Wewoka avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
