Despite the loss, Cristo Rey Research Triangle still got an impressive performance from Christian Gill, who scored 26 points along with two steals. That was a full 56.5% of Cristo Rey Research Triangle's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jamaal Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Larry Blount was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Cockman, who scored eight points.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Burlington Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burlington Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Westchester Country Day is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
