Amsterdam fell to Glens Falls 51-45. Amsterdam was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glens Falls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Glens Falls' win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Frances McTiernan, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Lunt, who scored 11 points.
Amsterdam's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Glens Falls, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amsterdam will challenge Banneker Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Banneker Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Glens Falls, they will head out on the road to face off against Scotia-Glenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
