After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Grove, The Ledford Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Asheboro. The result was nothing new for Ledford, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Alex Sanford got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 423 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Sanford is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Despite the loss, Asheboro still got an impressive performance from HAMZA KHAN, who threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns.
Ledford's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Asheboro, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
