Skaneateles is 9-0 against the Bearcats since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Skaneateles Lakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Solvay Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. Solvay took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Skaneateles, who comes in off a win.
Back in January, Skaneateles was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles, taking the game 49-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Skaneateles.
Meanwhile, Solvay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Onondaga 41-36. Solvay has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Solvay might have lost, but man, Neonna Turk was a machine: she almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaye?anna Turk, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Even though they lost, Solvay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Skaneateles now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Solvay, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Skaneateles against the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 45-16 win. With Skaneateles ahead 26-3 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
