Reeltown is 1-9 against Lanett since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Reeltown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
Last Friday, Reeltown escaped with a win against Beulah by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36.
Reeltown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Hornsby, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Hornsby grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Finn Henderson, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Lanett, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-34 loss to Callaway on Saturday. Lanett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Reeltown now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lanett, they bumped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Reeltown was able to grind out a solid win over Lanett in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 50-42. Does Reeltown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lanett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
