Banks is a perfect 7-0 against Corbett since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Braves will head out on the road to take on the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. Banks is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Banks made easy work of Westside Christian and carried off a 14-3 win. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Grady Lucia and Caleb Bonin were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lucia tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Bonin tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Lucia went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Bonin went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits Bonin has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Lincoln Holscher and Wyatt Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Holscher went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Jackson went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Holscher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalen Villarin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Corbett never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Valley Catholic on Friday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over the Valiants.
Banks pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Corbett, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Everything went Banks' way against Corbett when the teams last played back in April, as Banks made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
