It was a good run, but the Lyons Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to Gananda Central 51-47. Lyons has struggled against Gananda Central recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Lyons lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Milleniyah Glanton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Glanton hasn't dropped below three steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'nyiah Bell, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Gananda Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyons will challenge East Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lyons focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday. As for Gananda Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Clyde-Savannah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
