Basketball Recap: Amira Reynolds Key Part of a Team Effort in Bears Win

Basha hadn't done well against Chandler recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Basha Bears blew past the Chandler Wolves 67-46. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Basha to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amira Reynolds, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Reynolds also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in December of 2024. Grace Beckler was another key player, going 8 for 13 en route to 18 points and eight boards.

Basha was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chandler only racked up nine assists.

When it comes to explaining why Chandler lost, don't look at Karina Hunter. Despite the final result, she went 5 of 8 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Moreland, who posted 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Basha and bumps their season record up to 13-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Chandler, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Coming up, Basha will head out to square off against Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Basha is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season. As for Chandler, they and Hamilton will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
