 The team  relied heavily on  Jackson Hines, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tye Guthrie, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  RBI and one  double.
Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Prairie Grove,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-5.
 When Monticello and Prairie Grove next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Monticello will try to stop Lonoke's three-game winning streak when they meet  at 8:15  p.m.  on Saturday. Meanwhile, Prairie Grove will  challenge  Gosnell and their six-game winning streak  at 5:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
