St. Patrick extended the longest winning streak in Southern Michigan (8 Man) this week by beating Litchfield, 67-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
St. Patrick's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Collin Lay threw for 30 and one touchdown and John Pline had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Lay chipped in 168 yards.
St. Patrick's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Shamrocks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lay has thrown for 337 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Pline has eight catches for 192 yards. Lay also leads the league in rushing with 545 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Patrick Russman's team and St. Philip Catholic Central. The Shamrocks enters the contest ranked fourth in the state, while the Fighting Tigers ranks ninth.
St. Philip Catholic Central led Southern Michigan (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 67 points on Tekonsha.
