While Miller didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Spokane Owls 12-4 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Miller and bumps their season record up to 5-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-3 Hurley and 2-3 Spokane. As for Spokane, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Miller Cardinals face off against Early Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Miller's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Spokane, they will take on Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hurley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something Spokane will no doubt try to take advantage of.
