The Centreville Wildcats's six-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Oakton by a score of 54-45. For Centreville, this counts as revenge for the 61-42 defeat Oakton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Centreville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Siwert out in front who scored 15 points. Soren Kyne was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
Centreville's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Oakton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.
Centreville will look to defend their home court on Friday against James Madison at 7:30 p.m. As for Oakton, they will head out on the road to challenge Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westfield is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.1 points per game.
