On Monday, the Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights faced the DC International Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Friendship Collegiate Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as DC International apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
Friendship Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jonae McKnight, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals. McKnight is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kahmya Dixon, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
DC International's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eva Waters, who scored 18 points. Camille Larsen-Humphreys was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Friendship Collegiate Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for DC International, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
