Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Shorecrest Prep has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
Last Friday, Shorecrest Prep had to suffer through a rough 58-2 loss at the hands of the Buccaneers. Shorecrest Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-2.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian lost to the Barons on the road by a decisive 44-26 margin on Tuesday.
Shorecrest Prep dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.4 points per game. As for Northside Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
Shorecrest Prep was taken down by the Mustangs 56-5 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Shorecrest Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
