Norfolk Christian found their leader in underclassman Jalen Freeman, who scored 19 points along with 8 steals and 7 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Freeman has scored at least 25% of Norfolk Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Giddens, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Hampton Roads Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norfolk Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Hampton Roads Academy will head out on the road to face off against StoneBridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norfolk Christian, they will be playing at home against Nandua at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Nandua and Norfolk Christian are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
