Minneota had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the MACCRAY Wolverines a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madison Hennen was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Joelle Otto was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Danni Kockelman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Minneota kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.

Minneota's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for MACCRAY, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.
