After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Summit, The Colonia Patriots were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Rahway, posting a 35-7 win at home. The result was nothing new for Colonia, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Jaeden Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 238 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 157 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played. Nygel Hill was another key contributor, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Colonia now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Rahway, their loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Colonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rahway will head out on the road to face off against Ramapo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ramapo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Rahway likes a good challenge.
