Logan/Palco's's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. Everything went their way against Western Plains/Healy as Logan/Palco made off with a 53-31 win. This was payback for Logan/Palco, who suffered a 39-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Logan/Palco's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mara Kats led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kats has scored at least 25% of Logan/Palco's points. Another player making a difference was Ansley Delimont, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Logan/Palco's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Western Plains/Healy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan/Palco will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Northern Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Northern Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Saturday. As for Western Plains/Healy, they will head out on the road to face off against Pawnee Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
